Rebecca Power is a Front-End Web Developer and has worked as a freelancer the past two years. She thoroughly enjoys building websites, problem solving, and learning. In her free time she enjoys walking her pup, playing card games, and is always overloading Chrome with too many open tabs. Her ideal working environment is one where she can grow along with the company, work with a team, and feel as though it is a safe place to think, create, explore, and learn.

Plantwise

This is a personal project using a custom WordPress theme with advanced custom fields. Everything is responsive and easily updated via the WordPress backend. The site is a guide to Minneapolis vegan shops and restaurants that will continue to grow with new content and businesses.

The Fargo Theatre

This site is built on WordPress for The Fargo Theatre in Fargo, North Dakota. The key for this site is to display which movies are currently showing, showtimes, a description of the movie, and in some cases the trailer. I worked off of a pre-built theme and customized different aspects of the site, adding different page layouts and sidebars as needed. The top priority was that the managers of the theatre could log in and update the site as needed, which they have been able to do with ease.

Bluhex

Bluhex was a group project where we were given a name and were to create a company/product for this name. Our group of five chose to create a website for a chrome extension. Each team member contributed to different aspects of the project, I was the lead web developer.

Memory Lanes

This was my first project using the Skeleton Framework. It was a redesign of Memory Lanes, a bowling alley in Minneapolis, MN. The site features a new color pallet and a more concise way of organizing the information with the most important features front and center.

Green Niche

Green Niche is a multi group project where one group pitched us the company idea and our group pitched our idea to them. We had to build a style guide, social media, and a website for the business based off of their business plan. I was Project Manager on this project where I worked on some of the design, a bit of the development, and curated the social media accounts.
