Nordic Ware

Nordic Ware came to us to refresh their current e-commerce store. Through a discovery, wireframing and design process our team created a visually appealing design with a focus on UX and conversions. I was responsible for the front-end development. We built the site with Bootstrap on Magento 2. View the live store at: www.nordicware.com

Airco

This site was built as a marketing site for a fictional company that creates aerial drones for humanitarian aid. To display the strong visuals that aerial drones capture, I used a video as the first main jumbo section to draw the user in. This site was primarily laid out using flexbox with SVG and CSS animation for interaction and visual appeal. View the project at: alexwcarlson.com/airco

Colour Couture

As a part of team effort, my group was tasked with creating an e-commerce site for our client, a fictitious nail polish company. One of the most important aspects for the client was for their customers to be able to visualize the nail polish on their hand or "try it on". We were able to build the tool through a combination of Javascript, Wordpress and amazing Photoshop work by our team. Built with Bootstrap and Woocommerce as a custom Wordpress theme. colourcouture.alexwcarlson.com

Northcoast

When tasked with creating a website for a non-profit, I decided to create my own. Northcoast is a fictional organization with the goal of promoting mountain biking in MN. The focus of the site design was to make it easy to share content with members as well as be easy to navigate on mobile. I shot and edited the main video to convey a modern, simple style while creating motion on the site. Built using Skeleton framework as a custom Wordpress theme. alexwcarlson.com/northcoast
